Fanatic Cornhusker faithful pay $95 for spring game tickets. Nice devotion, but that’s idiotic. It’ll be just as boring as every other school’s free spring scrimmages.

Texas’ 2007 season will end with another trip to San Diego to play in the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl (tickets) on December 27th. There the Horns will face a tough match-up with the eleventh ranked Arizona State Sun Devils out of the Pac-10. The defense will definitely have it’s hands full with ASU’s offense and their excellent QB Rudy Carpenter. On paper it looks like this one could be another wild, high scoring Holiday Bowl.

An unspecified numbeer of tickets for the Friday night session of first-round NCAA men’s basketball — the session featuring Texas vs. Penn — will go on sale at 2 p.m. Thursday. Those tickets will cost $50. The tickets will be sold online at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at (214) 373-8000 and at the American Airlines Center box office.
I wonder what kind of seats they’re going to be? I tried to get tickets on Sunday and they were all way upper deck and right behind the basket. Maybe a school or another ticket vendor didn’t sell theirs, and these will be better tickets.
There is however a bit of a catch… (Update: Ticket now only $1)
Figured I would start this so other people could share their stories of not being able to get tickets either through the school or that joke of a TicketMaster release. I am sure I was with you and every other Texas/USC fan trying to buy 2 tickets out of a ridiculous allotment of 1,000 tickets from TicketMaster this morning at 10:00am. Is it just me or was it depressing how quickly those tickets sold?
So, I felt that I needed to secure tickets no matter what, especially because I have already setup my trip to Vegas and drive down to Pasadena. So what do I do? I check eBay of course. Hmm…$1000/ticket. Later. So I check Razor Gator. $637/ticket. Do-able, but it comes out to $700/ticket once you add all of their fees. So that is what we ended up doing. We got 6 tickets at $700/piece. Man, that sucks. But you gotta do what you gotta do.
So what happened with your ticket attempts?
You can still get tickets to the game in Waco from the Baylor ticket office.
The price went up $30 today and I imagine a win Saturday will send it up even higher.
